OUR SAFETY EXPERTS

Darryl Burn

I joined pH7 in 2007 and have been the driving force behind our strategy of specialising in HAZCHEM Safety Solutions.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to complete many courses of interest including: HSNO Certification Qualification, Responsible Care NZ (2010), HSNO Advanced Training, Responsible Care NZ (2013), Approved Handlers Test Certificate, Class 3.1 Flammables (2015), Comprehensive Chemical HSWA Training, Rifft (2022).

Outside of work, I love all things water based including sailing, spearfishing and paddle boarding with my wife and three children.

Cindy Bentley

I have been in this industry for six years now and I love it! In South Africa, I originally owned restaurants and wedding venues and later changed careers to join the advertising industry. When we moved to New Zealand in 2016 I joined a safety distribution company and the safety bug bit. I thoroughly enjoy the HAZCHEM space, finding solutions and selling products that keep Kiwis safe every day, is very rewarding.

I am an Associate Member of NZOHS and I have completed the BOHS W507 – Health Effects of Hazardous Substances Qualification, the Comprehensive Chemical HSWA Training and I have a Certificate in Mould Hazard Awareness Training from MHA.

Outside of work I love spending time with my husband fishing and going out riding with our children.

Mike Kitchin

I arrived in New Zealand in December 2008 and joined pH7 in early 2010. I’ve worked in sales, sales management, product, market and business development for over 30 years – yep, I’ve been around a while.

I’m passionate about finding solutions which meet or surpass customer expectations. Since joining pH7 I’ve completed the HSNO Advanced Training, Responsible Care NZ (2013) and have recently completed the Commit2Fit respiratory training with NZOHS.

Outside of work I spent 8 years volunteering with Howick Coastguard serving as crew, Crew Chief and Senior Crew. I live in South Auckland with my wife, daughter and two lovable mutts. I enjoy motorcycling and am a keen follower of F1 and Moto GP.

Tiffany Sharrott

I am originally from San Diego California and relocated with my family to New Zealand in 2014. My family loves to travel and after a holiday in New Zealand our daughter decided she wanted to get her Master’s Degree in Winemaking here. I started my career in law and have expanded my experience to real estate, cleanroom protocol training and now working with pH7.

I am an Associate Member of NZOHS and am a Commit2Fit Certified Respiratory Fit Tester. I have also completed The Educhem Management Course with Environmental Protection Authority Notices and Health and Safety at Work Regulations, have a Certificate in Mould Hazard Awareness Training from MHA, Compliantly Managing Hazardous Substances and W507 – Health Effects of Hazardous Substances.

I specialise in site risk assessments and travel the country working with businesses that handle hazardous substances.

In my spare time, I am an avid reader usually with three books going at one time. I also love movies and good food! I love to travel and spend time with the family and our dog Hinckley.
